The cofounder app where the terms come with the match

Junto works the way a dating app works, for the same reason: the hard part is not the conversation, it is getting to the right conversation quickly.

Two decks, one product

Junto has two decks and you can flip between them. The Projects deck shows ventures near you with roles open — each card is the project plus its cast sheet, so you can see who is already seated and what is left before you decide. The People deck shows individuals: their skills, their city, their verified credits.

Right-swiping a project is an application to a specific role. Right-swiping a person is a like, with an optional opener. If the like is mutual, a chat opens with both openers already in it — you never send a cold message into a void, and you never wonder whether the interest was returned.

Why there is a daily limit

You get five applications, five likes and one super like a day. This is not a paywall — there is nothing to buy to raise it, and it refills at midnight.

The limit exists because unlimited swiping produces spray-and-pray applications, and spray-and-pray applications make hosts stop reading them. Scarcity on the applicant side is what keeps the response rate on the host side worth having. A host with three thoughtful applications answers all three; a host with three hundred answers none.

What the card actually shows

Most matching apps show you a photo and a headline. A Junto project card shows the split.

The roster is the card: every role on the project, whether it is filled, who filled it, and what stake it carries. Tap a filled role to read that person's bio; tap an open one to apply to it directly with your pitch pre-filled. The split bar underneath shows how the equity divides across the whole team, including the host.

That means the decision you are making while swiping is a real one — not "does this sound interesting" but "would I take this role on these terms with these people".

Where it runs

Junto runs in any browser at letsjunto.com, and as a native app on iOS and Android. The account is the same everywhere; the deck, your applications, your chats and your workspace all sync.

Nothing is paywalled behind the app. If you would rather browse projects on a laptop and apply from your phone, that works.

Common questions

Is the cofounder app free?

Yes. Swiping, applying, matching and chatting are all free, and the daily limits refill every midnight at no cost. Junto charges only for optional services like company registration or a mentor session.

Why can I only apply to five projects a day?

So that applications stay worth reading. Hosts who receive a handful of considered applications reply to them; hosts buried in hundreds reply to none. Passing, saving and skipping are all free and unlimited — only right-swipes are budgeted.

Can I see who liked me?

People who have liked you are floated toward the top of your deck, so you see them sooner without a paid "who likes you" tier. A chat only opens when the like is mutual.

Does it work outside my city?

The deck is city-scoped by design — a cofounder you cannot meet is a pen pal. You can change your city in your profile if you move.
